COM Express®, Kontron and b-plus - A long term development

There are many standards in the embedded area. Many standards are niche players. One of the standards that succeeded in the market due to its supporters - first of all technology setter Kontron - is COM Express®. COM Express® is now a industrial standard for x86 based CPU Modules with different sizes and pin-outs.
B-plus accompanied Kontron with COM Express® consequently. B-plus works as Certified Design and Sales Partner since 2003 in various projects with COM Express® modules. The customers where supported with profound knowledge and experience with both design-in support, and support as well as in custom carrier board development.
Even before the completion of the COM Express® mini (Formerly ultra) b-plus developed the first carrier board for this form factor ePDAnano in close collaboration with Kontron.

Im Rahmen der lokalen Zusammenarbeit unterstützt die b-plus GmbH den Fachbereich Elektrotechnik der FH Deggendorf mit dem von b-plus kürzlich vorgestellten Entwicklungstool CANTucan. Mit diesem innovativen Werkzeug können die Studenten bereits frühzeitig tief in die Thematik des CAN Busses einsteigen, da es mit CANTucan möglich ist eine Busumgebung schnell zu simulieren oder in der Gatewayfunktion die Datenströme zu manipulieren.

The b-plus team invites you to visit our booth at the embedded world 2010 in hall 9-, the joint stand of Cluster MST.
This year we present our brand new CPU module solution for headless applications.
Without a GPU this x86 module represents a low power and low cost solution, which is well positioned below the Intel® Atom™ platform. Due to x86 architecture a wide range of classical Windows(tm) software can be integrated to a higher performance level. Applications for this CPU module solution are e.g. gateways, programmable logic controller (PLC) or data logger. For this applications options for the extended temperature range will be available.
Additional to this innovation you will see our ePDA baseboards in different versions, I/O Modules and an application for our eVISIO7 panel PC based on our baseboards.
» So we are able to cover all integration stages along the value chain – from the computer module to the panel PC.
Das Team der b-plus lädt sie herzlich ein zu einem Besuch auf dem Messestand auf der Embedded World 2010 in Halle 9 am Stand 468, dem Gemeinschaftsstand des Cluster MST ein.
Dieses Jahr stellen wir Ihnen eine brandneue CPU Modullösung für Anwendungen ohne Grafikcontroller vor. Diese x86 basierte Plattform stellt eine kosten- und energieeffiziente Lösung dar, die sich unterhalb der Intel® Atom™ Plattform eingliedert. Durch den fehlenden Grafikprozessor liegt diese Lösung unter dem Energieverbrauch von vergleichbaren Atom™-basierten Lösungen und bietet zugleich die x86 Architektur, für die es ein weitreichendes Softwareangebot gibt. Anwendungen für diese CPU Modullösung ohne Grafikprozessor sind beispielsweise Gateways, speicherprogrammierbare Steuerungen oder Datenlogger. Für diese Applikationen werden ebenfalls Optionen für den erweiterten Temperaturbereich zur Verfügung stehen.
Zusätzlich zu dieser Neuheit zeigen wir auch unsere ePDA Baseboards in verschiedenen Ausführungen, I/O Module und eine Applikation auf einem darauf basiertem Panel-PC Konzept vor.

b-plus am Landshuter Symposium Mikrosystemtechnik

On February 24th and 25th 2010 Cluster Mikrosystemtechnik hosts the 2nd Landsuther Symposium Microsystems electronics. On February 25th b-plus gives a paper about "Tool based message rerouting on signal level - a specialist development tool for communication structures in cars". Additionally to that we present our intelligent automotive gateway CANTucan.
