ATZ presents b-plus and IBM Deutschland: Intelligent Sensor Data Pipeline for Driver Assistance and Autonomous Driving

On July 29, 2021 at 10 a.m. (CET), we will hold a webinar together with our partner IBM Deutschland on smart recording and the efficient management of sensor data for the development of driver assistance systems and autonomous driving.

Within one hour you will learn in the free webinar how we solve the challenges of OEMs and Tier1s in the collection and processing of intelligent raw data in automotive development. We have optimized our efficient data recording coupled with smart data processing and orchestration for this purpose.

In three keynote presentations followed by Q&A, where participants can ask the speakers technical questions live , the following topics will be covered:

Smart Recording - Intelligent and efficient test data acquisition in road tests (Johannes Zangerle, b-plus technologies GmbH)
The acquisition of large amounts of data is of enormous importance for vehicle manufacturers. The effort to move them around the world for further processing increases with every bit collected. The Smart Recording concept, which is based on the AVETO Toolbox, succeeds in pre-selecting the enormous amounts of data at the point of origin. Only essential borderline cases that are valuable for securing and training neural networks are recorded and fed to the data center for further processing.

Hybrid cloud infrastructures - managing Big Data in ADAS development optimized strategically (Frank Krämer, IBM Deutschland GmbH)
Once the data has been recorded and fed into the data center, the challenge arises of storing the large volumes of data in suitable infrastructures. Intelligent AD data management for hybrid cloud infrastructures is enabled by IBM with Red Hat Openshift and IBM Spectrum Fusion. The solutions are linearly scalable, resource-saving, and efficient because data no longer needs to be stored in different locations.

Data orchestration at the optimal pace and interaction of the ADAS value chain (Alexander Raabe, IBM Deutschland GmbH)
The ideal storage of Big Data equally includes management and orchestration of data around the data flow. Scalable and easily customizable data management of automotive test data is enabled by the containerized application IBM AREMA. For example, the platform offers scene management with video player, point cloud player and metadata management. Files can be uploaded remotely by users, projects reported and tasks managed.
