b-plus and Cepton are already working together for over three years on solutions for recording and visualizing raw Lidar sensor data. By combining their expertise, plug-and-play quick-start solutions are created to drive the development of autonomous driving functions.

Henri Häfner, Director Product Management, Marketing & Business Development at Cepton, visited the b-plus headquarter in Deggendorf and handed over the new Vista®-X90 Lidar to Johannes Zangerle, Business Developer at b-plus. Both emphasize the good partnership and the opportunity it offers to impressively showcase use cases to joint customers. In addition, the combined technical solutions can be further developed on an ongoing basis.

This upgrade for our MAX demo vehicle meets the tough standards of the automotive industry.  The sensor has an IP67 protection class, offers an opening angle of 90x25 degrees and a range of 200m. 

The lidar is now being installed and commissioned on MAX. The software integration of the sensor into the development environment of the b-plus AVETO Toolbox has already been done in advance. Cepton was able to connect the sensor to the b-plus software for recording and visualization easily.
